Where is the oil line that goes to the turbo

They told me if I disconnect the oil line to the turbo that it will stop the smoking from exhaust because it will stop the oil from going in to the turbo. Any advice.

Re: Where is the oil line that goes to the turbo

That will also destroy the turbo.

Well the turbo is bad anyways. You think it would stop the smoke.

Re: Where is the oil line that goes to the turbo

Sure, if that is the cause of it. I say do it at your own risk of course. The oil feed line goes into the top of the turbo center section. Be sure to find an appropriate fitting to block that line so oil doesnt come out though. On a 2g I have no idea what that would be. Some find of an inverted flare or something. For a 1g, remove the feed line at the head and plug the hole with a bolt and one crush washer (should be M10x1.25).

Sounds like a lot of work to prove that your bad turbo is bad

Re: Where is the oil line that goes to the turbo

So I suppose you could either do as Kevin stated, blocking it off, or I would push you towards just purchasing a used turbo for cheap. They aren't all that expensive. Smoke from the exhaust can be a handful of things, but yes, the turbo is definately one of them. Good Luck!

This is a dumb idea. If your radiator leaked, would you plug it up and overheat the engine? Get a new turbo for $100

are you serious? first off if you cant find the oil lines to your turbo u need to sell your car right now cause u dont deserve it. I highly suggest pulling off the oil lines to your turbo hell, why not pull off the coolant lines while you at it.....let me know how that works for you
