ignition problem

i have a passat 94 vr6 automatic, turning the key will not start it but direct current to the starter does. I am aware that volks is known for it's multiple electrical problems but how complicated is it to fix and how do I go about fixing it?

Re: ignition problem

I have the same problem - it needs a new ignition switch. Now if only I could discover how to replace it!
