Rearview Mirror Clip

My rearview mirror came off the windshield the other day, and am trying to conclude how the clip inside the housing releases for the metal (shiny) plate that adheres to the windshield. I have been to a couple of Napa Stores and same with Shuck's, nobody has seen this type of mount. I have tried using pliers to compress it with no luck. Anyone have an idea?????

Would upload picture but, don't have that high of access.

TIA
John

Are you sure it's not held in place with a small allen screw...

Re: Rearview Mirror Clip

Well if there is an allen screw it's hiding EXTREMELY well. Or it's invisible.

Thanks
John

Use a tiny screwdriver, slip it under the mirror side and depress the tab, then slide the mirror off at the same time.
