Question 98 Neon Questions

hi everyone im new here an jus got a 98 DOHC auto Neon. I got a few questions:

1) Is it worth it to install turbos on my automatic DOHC?
2) Are there any Neon clubs/orgs in Baltimore, MD?
3) Do many Neon owners have body kits for their cars? Which kind?
4) Is it easy to change manual locks/windows to power? Can ne one help with a walkthrough or guide?
5) Would it be a good idea to change the stock 13" to 17" tires? Would it still be safe to race? How would i go about doing this?

Thanks...help on ANY of these questions would be greatly appreciated..

Re: 98 Neon Questions

1. for an auto tranny, i would look into the jackson racing supercharger for the pt crusier. same motor, it should fit, give them a call. a turbo will work just fine, but you dont have control over rpms, so lag may be an issue (unless its a small turbo)
2.?
3. wings west makes one that fits, i dont know about any others
4.?
5. as long as you get the right side tires, and the right offset wheels, 17's will be great for you. it will stiffen up the chasis nicely, look great, and will still allow you to get some grip. again as long as everything is the right size, you should be fine.

Xenon and Wings west are the most common.

Yes, but you would need the motor and the switch that controls them. This is however added weight to the car.

Go with a 15" lightweight rim and a 205/50/15 tire. A 17" rim will slow you down.

There is no supercharge available for the neon. You can build your own turbo, or buy a Hahn racecraft or chill factory turbo.
