vacuum canister?

Under the front bumper on the right hand side there is a vacuum canister of some sort. The guy I bought my Jeep off of had let the hoses to it rot off,so I had a heck of a vacuum leak and no heater controls. Now my dilema is I am trying to hook it back up, but I do not know how it was hooked up to begin with. It is hinda football shaped with two inlets on either side I know the two bottom inlets are both vacuum from the manifold, but the two top ones seem to be for my heater vent contrlos, and my cruise control. So my question is which side does which one go on, or does it matter?

Re: vacuum canister?

I found several references to the accumultor in my FSM and parts guide. The parts guide shows a vacuum harness that connects to it. The arrangment of the hoses make it obvious which one goes where. Are the hoses still there? Item 10 in the image is the bottle.

HOOK THE HOSES UP ONE WAY AND SEE WHAT THEY WORK IF THEY'RE NOT RIGHT JUST SWITCH THEM DALE

Re: vacuum canister?

Thanks guys!! it does not seem to matter,But I figured I would ask before I broke something. It is usually the stuff you think that would not matter that messes up the works.
