1996 Honda Accord Low Beam Not On

Both of my lowbeam headlites not coming on.Hibeam OK.
Fuese are ok.I'm suspecting one of 2 relays, either the dimmer or lights.

Now the dimmer winding reads open even in megohms,I should read something. Is that relay controlling the lowbeam.

Anyone here has any idea...

Check The Relays. I Had That Problem And It Was The Relays, Or It Might Be The Light Switch. Mine Went Bad Too, And Only One Low Beam Was Working.

Thanks for reply. It turned out to be the Hallogen lamps themselves that by pure coincidence are intermittent.

I removed the female receptacle and measured if i have 12V in low beam and there was 12V.I twisted the lock on the hallogen lamp and pulled it out and plugged it in. I tapped on the lamp and it came on. Now I was convinced it was the filament in the lamp that was on the verge of going out completely + the walls of it were black and the outer skin of it had a bulge.

I went to passenger side and tapped with screw driver on the housing. It came on too.I ran to the nearby autoparts store and got new one for $12 each. Replaced the driver side, but waiting for passenger one to go out completely since it is more difficult to reach and twist the housing lock. There are things to move out of the way to do the twisting.

So far both lobeam ok for past 3 days.2 different mechanics wanted to take the car to dealer. Good thing we didn't, it would have been 120 dollars for 2 hours.

Thank you for your reply...Hope to chat again soon.
