Hey got a 86 d50 ram. Has a 4cyl. engine, automatic trans. Well when i take off it shifts, and again around 25mph, but when i hit 40mph it wont shift, and i get a rattle under my feet, a loud one, like its trying but cant, and if i take my foot offf the accelerator when it almost stops it will stahl out, perhaps i need a flush and new screen on trannie???. Please help.

all fluid levels are ok, the oil was down two qts. and what about the egr light comming on, where is that egr valve, is it on the firewall or on the passenger side sitting out by itself.
