I tried programming my remotes that I bought off of ebay. I followed all steps the horn blows and the doors lock and unlock. But when leaving the programming stage the horn does not blow or nothing and the remotes don't work.

Re: keyless enty problem
If you don't have the keyless entry option on the truck to begin with (AU0, I'm pretty sure...), just having the remotes won't do it. You need the liftgate module reprogrammed with this option, which you need to find a helpful dealer to do for you....
All trucks have the ABILITY to run a keyless remote (assuming you have power locks), but only those with the option from the factory are programmed for it.... YMMV.... |

Re: keyless enty problem
I bought my 2002 trailblazer LS used and the dealer said that it had keyless entry option. When I hold the unlock button and turn the key on, off, on, off, the horn blows and the doors lock and unlock. Then when I hold the lock and unlock on the remote the horn blows and the locks lock and unlock. When I turn the key in the run position nothing happens. Is there anything else I should try before going to a dealer?

Re: keyless enty problem
Yes, it is.....at least for the 2004 models. After perusing the Helms manual in detail, seems as long as the truck has power door locks, it has keyless entry, but has to have it programmed into the BCM and the liftgate module.

Thanks, that would make sense. The bcm will go into program mode, lock and unlock the doors and flash the lights and beep the horn. It seems that all it needs is a way to communicate with the f.o.b.
