Hey guys, Im new to this forum and would definately appreciate your help. Im not a car genious but I try! My girls 1998 3.8 mustang got flooded pretty bad. She called me with her stalled stang. I had It towed home where I drained all the fluids and replaced them. I also added all the water removal additives I could find. The Oil had alot of water in it. It looked like a mud. I dried all electrical devices. stripped interior to dry. I also bought SEaFoam. Any way I finally got her car working, but still after 6 month continues to run like crap! Its very sluggish and has very low response time. I cant afford to replace her car yet. I thought Id have to replace the engine or the tranny but I heard It might be the cats. If so can I just buy those cheap ass ebay universals. This isnt a race car I just need It to work..........Any tips or advice would be greatly appreaciated .......Good lookin out

Re: Flood damage
You probably have water in the engine which is causing it to run like crap. Bottom line: Take it to a mechanic and get a dianostic test.
Good luck! |
