Chronological Lineup of 911
I try to get an overview of all the type codes within
the 911 family. Please add you input to the following line-up. 1963-1972 Original 911 (2.0L/2.2L/2.4L) 1973-1983 Carrera 2.7 (2.7L) 1975-1978 Type 930 Turbo (3.0L) 1978-1989 3.3 Turbo (3.3L) 1984-1988 Carrera 3.2 (3.2L) 1987 Type 959 (2.8L) 1989-1993 Type 964 (3.6L) Carrera2, Carrera4 1994-1997 Type 993 (3.6L) 993C2, 993C4, 993Turbo4, 993GT2 1997 GT1 1998-2004 Type 996 (3.4L/3.6L) 996C2, 996C4, 996Turbo4, 996GT2, 996GT3 2005- Type 997 (3.6L/3.8L) C2,C2S,C4,C4S,Turbo,TurboS,GT2,GT3 Does anyone knows the type code for 1973 Carrera 2.7 and 1984 Carrera 3.2? |

the first was 901's until peugeot said NO thats are number. and they was both the 911 carrera 2.7 and 3.2, the 2.7 being the F-series, and the 3.2 being the new E-Series 83-84, the new F-Series 84-85, new G-Series 85-86, new H-Series 86-87, New J-Series 87-88, new K-Series 88-89. The 911 turbo was all 930 from 75-89. And they did a 2.7 that wasn't a RS but it was a little bit poo. And you forgot the 3.0 SC often described as the super carrera which combined the old 911 and carrera with the 930 3.0ltr engine without the turbo. Did i miss any? let me know.
