Can't find ECU on '90 Accord Lx

According to my Chilton's manual the ECU on my '90 Accord is locted under the dash on the passenger's side. In the diagram they show the wire hanging right below the dash, on the very right side. However I can't seem to find it....all i see are wires that are already connected. I've read elsewhere on the net that you have to pull back the passenger side carpet or even remove the passenger kick plate to find it.

Does anybody know for sure where to find this wire on '90 Accords?

Re: Can't find ECU on '90 Accord Lx

Are you looking for the ECU or the ECU service connector? The ECU is on the passenger side under the forward floor board. Pull the carpet down from the top and remove the cover, it is under the cover. The service connector which is what you short out to make the dask engine check display stored codes is on the extreme right side of the passenger side to the right of the glove compartment and the right vertical side wall. It is a very short 2 connector unit and cannot be pulled down any more then an inch or so. It may have slipped down the vertical side wall.
