03 neon hop up help

ok i've always been a big engine big vehicle guy well for driving to work I was given an 03 sxt neon 2.0 sohc, downside its an auto, and i know there are little tips and tricks to hop this thing up but i come from never having anything smaller then a 5.0 and up so with this little 2.0 computer controlled everything i'm a little lost ? however i dont want a 5 inch dia exhaust, 6 foot high wing car, i just want engine help, i've ordered a cold air intake, and i'm thinking about switching out the standard exhaust for an r/t exhaust (which means i have to change the rear bumper i think, but after that ?? any tips ? i heard the lancer evo 2.0 enging is the same block as the neon and the parts switch over to the neon ? also i dont know what the auto tranny will take hp abuse wise ? any ideas ?

ok no ideas huh? alright well i guess i just build it and we'll see how long the tranny lasts
