I purchased the stock fog light kit (for the quick and simple installation) for my 98 GC and was assuming it was a simple install. Installed the fog lights and the light bracket and all my lights work fine when turned on, except the fog lights. I used the factory OEM wiring harness but was wondering if there is more to it than that? Is there a relay that is needed as well, that wouldn't be included being the jeep didn't originally come with fog lights, even though the wiring harness was already there? Or a specific fuse needing added? I thought I've troubleshot everything, but these are the only other things I could think of as to why the fog lights won't come on. The indicator light on the light switch itself doesn't light either, when they are suppose to be on. Any thoughts?

I'll see what I can find out. I spoke with a jeep dealership a few weeks back and to say the least, the guy I spoke with was a few cards short about what I was needing. Thanks.

You will need a 20A fuse. The Owners manual shows the location under the hood in the electrical junction box.
You will need a fog light switch next to you headlight switch. I do not remember installing a relay. |
