94 Lumina APV intermitent Start... help
Okay, my woman's parents have the vehicle in question and every now and then it will not start, it will crank but no start. This is what I have "found out" so far
1. There is Fuel In the lines, it comes out of the pump, out past the filter so it should be reaching the TBI unit. 2. No fuel is being sprayed into the TBI unit(bowls I think) when it is being cranked(and not starting) 3. There is a red wire with a clip on it that appears like it would slide onto a blade style ground but there is nothing to hook it too So anyone have any experince with these chevy vans and their crappy fuel setups??? |

I had the same problem with my 3.1L. Exactly. Finally had the ignition module inside the distributor replaced. Use a GM one! No problem for past 4 months. Good luck!

That little red wire is the feul pump test wire. You give that 12V and the feul pump will cut on.
Might want to check the wires for the injector. Could be the injector is bad. From what I hear the ECM's on those lumina vans like to go bazerk, that may be your problem. But id check a few other things first before replacing the ECM. Theres any number of sensors that it could be. If you know how to read the codes do that, you may get a clue or two. If its a '93 or earlier you can do it yourself. |
