CD-player won't quit

Hello,

I managed to fit in a '96 Delco CD-player in my '91 Caprice. However, the player doesn't turn off when I turn off my engine. I have tot do this seperatly by hand. Not a major problem, but even if I turn it off it still uses some electrical power so that my battery is dead after a few days. Does anyone had the same problems or knows the solution? I hope you can help me.
