94 cutlass rattling sound under the car...

I have a 3100 model of the 94 two door cutlass, and something between the catalytic converter down through the muffler or the pipe maybe just rattles horribly when you accelerate past 1500 rpm. It sounds as if a loosely bent wire coat hanger is wrapped around the exhaust and its vibrating very annoyingly when you drive. When I accelerate it sounds liek some crappy exhaust system. Any idea what it is? maybe a loose brake line or something? HELP IT SOUNDS HORRIBLE

It's more than likely it is your catalytic converter. Some part of the honeycomb inside the catalytic converter is broken and making a rattling noise. Part of it might have already come out of the other side of the catalytic converter and may need to be removed.

Replace your cat with a free flowing catalytic converter.
