Did u know that the Story of Initial D is Base On the writer of Initial D. He has the car and Tofu shop in real life. He Also has the engine in his 86. I know that for a fact. But the driftin and shit he made up.

Shuichi Shigeno is a big fan of motorsports in general, but in reality he started out with romance manga before creating Initial D. Here's a link to a site that is cataloging a list of all the driving manga produced. Take a look at Shigeno's Tunnel nuketara Sky«Blue .
