Replacing glass with something else

I was wondering if anyone knew what i could replace the back windows in my hatch with. I know fiberglass, but i dont know of anywhere that would do it. Im jus looking to get rid of some extra weight. So far im down to 2060. Thanks.

No...hes talking about replacing the glass with a lighter transparent material, such as fiberglass or lexan. It wouldnt be DOT legal if you cant see out of it! And he doesnt have a rex, he has a hatch.

FAL makes window kits for the rear quarter windows and hatch window.

Most people use lexan instead of glass for weight reduction, but it's not legal to use it on the street.

They say that becuase they didnt get the certification, but it doesnt replace the drivers/passengers window or the windshield, so it doesnt hinder safety unless you got people in the back seat, and i would assume if youre going to replace the glass, youve removed the back seat. Check the local/state laws, but im fairly confident that it would pass inspection in NC, so probably VA as well.

Thats a good point Alex, at this point, at 2060, hes gotta have a lot of the car gutted or extra weight removed, some of which would logically have to be the back seat. Lets see, I wouldnt even know where to begin to look for materials for that sort of thing...Ill go look at my ImportTuner mag at the honda challenge pages and see what I can dig up...anyone else actually know anything at this point?
