Rattle in Trans or Wheel? 2002 Passat

I have 2002 Passat V6 4 Motion. I am hearing some rattles when I drive up hill, especially when I let go of the gas and then accelerate again. I think that the rattling sound is coming from the trans. Can anyone tell me what the problem might be?
