PRIMERACING20
Something has come up. The stickers have been delayed until we are sure we really want PRIMERACING20 on our cars or not.
The arguement is that do you want to have the word "racing" on your car? Do you race, or do you plan on racing? Are you supporting or are against street racing? Do you want a bunch of racing stickers on your car? Right now I ask everbody to think about it for a while. Reply that you read this but don't state your opinion yet. Wait 2 days. I say this becasue I think out first problem was we did everything fast and didn't have time to think if we really wanted to. Should we... Change name? -back to a luxury performance thing apposed to racing Keep the name? -and members that don't want the racing don't buy stickers End the club? -does anyone not want to be in a club without the word racing in it? I think we need to meet and discuss. Is everybody going to Hot Import Nights?

What if we all get together first? Now that the new year is upon us, we will probably have more time to meet. We should get together and sit down and see what it is we ALL really want. I'm all for a club. I'm just headed in the enthusiast's direction, not racing direction.
Also, I was asked the question, "why do I have mods if I don't race". Yes, it's true that my ride is modded a little, but that doesn't mean I'm a racer (I admit, I speed a little...and I've been known to leave stop lights faster than the car next to me at times). But to be honest, I simply love the feel and look of a modded vehicle. I love to fly, but I'm not a pilot, and I love to ride horses, but I'm not a cowboy (I think you get the picture). Besides, driving a modded car is just plain fun. It's a hobby I've had for a long time. So, I'm still all for a club, assuming we can all agree on what kind of club we want...IMHO, we did rush into things a bit fast, but that's life...

I agree with Rob. It will be a lot easier for everyone to figure out what they do and do not want once everyone can meet and see each other face to face.
Even though you don't want an answer now, i can tell you flat out that i would NOT put a "racing" sticker on my car. Hell, it would take a lot to get me to put ANY sticker on my car, much less one that says "racing". Personally, i would just like to get together with other G20 owners every once in a while to swap stories and check out other cars. IMO, you can have a club without requiring someone to put something on their vehicle that they don't want. I would definitely reconsider the name though, if i were you guys. -Grant |

So I thought about it for the last few days I have been trying to think about what the club would do together and the purpose of the club. I realized that there is no purpose to have one because in a way we are already in a bigger club of AF. I'm assuming that we all found this website on our own because we needed a place to share ideas, ask questions, and buy/sell/trade parts. Having a local meeting would be cool to see each others cars but how often do our cars change?
Here is what I think. 1. The PRIMERACING20 name should be droped. 2. We should have a meeting open to all G20 owners in the Seattle area. 3. I can switch the website just to SEATTLEG20 where I could store pictures of our cars on the internet.

BTW, I think the idea of us being a club scared away some people from meeting with us. Here is a list of all the people that I know are in Seattle and have a G20

That's a pretty good sized list. I think just dropping the name and meeting once every few months would be great. Getting together every so often would be more than just checking out each others cars. We could use our numbers to leverage buying power. Perhaps a group buy of CAI's or shocks or whatever. We could discuss good/bad shops in the area and maybe get somewhere that would give us good service with a discount. There are a lot of opportunities. I've seen several other G20's around recently (all P10's, curiously). Maybe we could even get some business cards printed up to spread the word about this forum and the local get-togethers. I think that once everyone meets face-to-face we can get to know each other a little better and everyone will be more comfortable with the whole situation.

I think that sounds pretty cool. A get together every once in a while would be great. I dig the idea of a Seattle website dedicated to G20's and Primeras. By the way, I still have only seen like one modded P11 around, yet I constantly see modded P10's everywhere. Unfortunately, I never get to talk to the drivers...

Alright people's....the time has come. Put up or shut up time. The FIRST NW G20 meeting will commence real soon. Redmond/Bellevue Red Robin off 520 on 148th. When do we all want to meet? I'm thinkin' within 3 weeks at least. I'm with this weekend if we can. Come on people, let's put faces to names and names to cars. If all turns out good, it should be a real good time.

Saturday is good for me. If not well, I'll have dinner there anyway.

I'm gonna say around 3:00 or so that way it gives a little day light, assuming the nice weather holds up, to see each others cars. Even night time works though. Let's see how many people say yes first. It sounds promising though.

I'm certainly in! I've been out of state for a week, so when are we meeting? This coming Saturday (the 19th), did I miss it already, or has it not been set yet? Someone let me know, and I'll be there!

No Rob, you didn't miss it. I was talking about this weekend, the 19th. Hell with it, I'm going to say it's on for 3:00pm. We already have a decent amount of people going. Where's TIZAO?
