4wd: anybody know which models?

We need help! We are looking for a bmw in the 300 or 500 series that has 4wd (vermont - burrrrr.) Any ideas how we can get a list of them so we know our options? Anyone have a favorite? Any comments on BMW 4wd?

Thank You!

Re: 4wd: anybody know which models?

The U.S. has both 325xi and 330xi (both offered in sedan and wagon) which are the AWD models for 3 series.
The other models with AWD are X3 and X5, all others are rear wheel drive only.

Both the 325xI and the 330xI have the older version of BMW's AWD. The new x-Drive system is available on the X3 and X5 in this country but not yet on the 3-Series. But you can get x-Drive on the 330 and 325 in Germany. Typically, BMW won't say when it's going to be available here but I hear rumors that it'll show up sometime this Spring.

x-Drive is supposedly more variable than the older system. One of my co-workers was just in Germany and had a rental BMW 3-Series with x-Drive and he was very impressed.

325xi website? And, thanks for the 4wd info

Your replies are much appreciated. Looks like we will be going with the 325xi. Any suggestions for a good website to check out details such as specs, engine types, etc. for this model year 2002?

Thanks again!
