Why do people use Chevelle bumpers on 70's?

I used to own a 70 so I know that they have round blinkers. The70 Monte Carlo uses the same bumper and they are available aftermarket. So my question is, why do people use the Chevelle bumper with the square blinkers? I think round looks a lot better and matches the headlights better.

Re: Why do people use Chevelle bumpers on 70's?

I wondered that myself. I always thought it looked stupid. I think the reason people do it is they really don't know any better, or care. I'm restoring a 1970 and would never use the Chevelle bumper. Coincidentally the 1972 Monte bumper is also the same but with no holes at all. Go figure...don't ask how I know that.
