1992 Dodge Spirit Starting Problems
Hope this is the right place to post this. If not please excuse the intrusion.
Here is the situation, car has not been driven for a few days and when I went to start today it started ok and ran fine, then after work it would not start right, well it would start but not run, it would stall out right away. The only way to keep it from stalling out is to hold down the gas pedal and keep it down for a few seconds but not giving it to much gas or it stalls, after mutliple times of it stalling out it finally will run but when I get to traffic lights or stop signs it idles down really low like its going to stall out, and if you turn the car off its immediately hard to start and keep running again. Could this be a problem with water in the fule line freezing or other winter related problems? Any ideas would be most welcome. |

It sounds like it's not getting enough gas. That could be caused by water in the line, a plugged fuel filter, a bed fuel injector or a weak fuel pump. I would start with the cheapest item to fix first and then work your way through the list until it runs fine again.
