Rattling on the Passenger side door...

I'm curious... when you have your stereo turned on to an acceptable level.. have you guys/girls ever noticed your passenger side inner door molding start to rattle? and you get this little rattling sounds when the bass hits at any level! (and I've set my bass at normal).

What gives??

Just a guess but i'd say there's something loose in your door.

Seriously, take the door panel off and see what's causing the rattle. It's probably something small like a lock rod or something that fell through the window rubber. You could put on a little Dynamat and maybe cover the rods for the doors with rubber hose. I haven't taken off the inner door for a G yet but it can't be that difficult. Get yourself the Factory Service Manual and i'm sure it details the procedure.

I had that problem with my p11 and i just unscrewed the screws in the handle and poped off the door. Its easy, though a little daunting at first. I also wraped and taped small strips of foam around those rods and anything that i could find that rattled, while banging the door with your hand. This found most of them, and worked really well in my boot/trunk as well, but cannot compare with a good sound deadening of the inner and outer skins on the doors.
