Well, my initial reaction is one of sheer amazement!!

You have done an excellent job digitally recreating both the road car, and the now the LM!! WOW!! Thanks so much for sharing - I could never even begin to do something like that at all.

Since you asked - The only things I notice that are technically wrong on the LM are that the right side wheel nuts are actually blue, not red. I can post a photo for reference if you need me to. Also, it appears that you only have that e-brake caliper we went over in the previous thread on the left rear wheel. It's actually found on both rear wheels on all McLarens except the GTRs.

Other than that - and those are both very minor things - I'd call your work a masterpiece.

Most racing cars which feature a single lock-nut for each wheel use the different colors so that you don't get them mixed up. I believe they are threaded differently, so it makes a difference which ones go on which side.

Here's some shots of the blue nuts which are found on the right side:

And there are at least two shots of them on LM03 in this thread:

frank...
you got a silver f1 and an LM, you can help him to tune his 3D model from a nearperfect one into a perfect one...
give us your opinion...
EDIT: the headlights might just need a little more dept in it, they look too flat to me, you agree?

both models will be going into midtown madness 2.

the headlights.. are a pain in the nuts to be honest, the blueprints are off and using them just makes it look silly. I had to guess them a bit..

poly count, roughly 21,000 for each car, slightly more for the LM due to the wheels.

Wow, great models. Please, if you are able, make also F1 GT model for Midtown Madness 2. I`m a big fan of F1 GT.
And I will post info about japanese F1 GT soon.

very nice job!!!
here's a minor detail: if silver F1 is a british car (GB plate), rear fog light must be in the other side

Re: My 1995 F1 and LM (many pics, computer models not real ones.. but maybe some day....)

I don't know about the depth on the headlight pod, but the lower edge is straight with a rounded corner in real life--yours appear to have two lower edges at an angle to each other--perhaps you need to up the poly count so you can do one long line and, towards the corner, more lines in smaller angular and linear intervals that approximate the shape of the real cover?

And the headlight lens depth looks ok, but the lenses should be protruding somewhat from the black surface they are on.

The chin spoiler on the LM protrudes more, and is also more curved.

The three vents on each wing do not appear black, but grey, due to the silver wire mesh on the inside. Perhaps that could be changed?

The diffusers underneath do not carry forward far enough under the car, so they look like suspended rectangles...can they be extended?

Simply lovely job, overall!!!

Let's see them roaring through a dusty French village or screaming out of the tunnel and around the Monaco marina...if you do this, you must have a gangway so that the LM can be driven right into a luxury yacht! Then the gangway pulls up and the yacht slips its moorings just as a cavalcade of police cars and bikes come screeching to a stop on the dock. Perhaps a cop car could bump a bike or two and tip them into the water. Final scene should show cops floundering in the water as tourists look on.

By the way, I know the founder of the company that wrote the game where you mow people down, I have forgotten what it was called...the guy lives on the Isle of Wight. His company was called Stainless Software, I think. In real life, he has built himself an all-wheel-drive TVR Griffith with a Kevlar body and 500+ bhp!

PM me if you want to be put in touch.

To bad I don't have Midtown Madness 2. You should release it
for NFS4, although the poly count might be to high(then again
a guy by the name of Prochevele made a Ford hotrod with 20,000
polies for NFS4).

My first impression is that they are excellent. nothing jumps out at me as wrong (except maybe the interior of the LM, which i can't see clearly). I'd compare to the many LM pictures posted on this site, they'll server better than my memory for now.
