Question '02 jetta Radio trouble

Since its a Sunday, I think I'm screwed, but here goes: I drove my 2002 Jetta today to the store. I had the radio on. I went in the store. When i came back out and started the car, the radio was no longer on, and now it won't turn on at all. The little red led flashes like its supposed to, but i can't get any power to the head unit. I checked all the fuses, and all of 'em were good, I think. this leads me to problem #2, while in the midst of checking fuses, i must have tripped a sensor or something b/c now my airbag light is on. Any ideas on how I can get the airbag light off and my radio on?????? I even called the road service #, but they were useles as they have the same documentation as i do (no listing for a radio fuses, just thie pictures on the fuse panel, in which I think I now realize that the one the open book and exclamation point mean 'Don't F with'). sorry if this is a total newbie question, Please help me if ya can! twisty18ATearthlink.net

Locate the fuse (approx. 25-30amp) for the stereo (Monsoon I presume). Pull the fuse out, wait 30 seconds then put it back in. Viola.

maybe???

Check that your Ignition/Accessory power wire leads and connections at the Ignition Switch aren't fried. That is a possibility.
Your red light blinks and the memory in your unit are still stored because you still have constant power, but the accessory or (Switched) power lead are not getting power. (((Just in case you don't know, that is the line that comes from the ignition to all your dash accesories, not straight off the battery.)))
