Next Project: Toyota Celica JGTC GT300

Well, I just received my latest kit (TAMIYA 99' Toyota Celica) and ideas are already brewing in my head. I noticed that over the past weekend, the WedsSport Celica took it's first win in JGTC GT300 competition, and i must say, it is one good looking car. I looked around and caught a glimpse of my poorly-built JGTC Skyline from last year and the thought hit me...mayyyyybe just maybe, I could put myself to the test, and try and build a fictional JGTC Celica..so far progress is 0%, but i'd like to hear input from all of you that may be interested...any help on ideas, or pointers would be appreciated. (I'm not going for the look of the WedsSport...but loosely-based.) .....What do you think?

Thumbs up

That's the coolest Celica ever, except for the Ultimate Celica.

That's wicked! Hm.... you could bust up a JGTC NSX for parts... The hood and wing could carry over well.... as well as the fuel filler... Fujimi makes some nice Weds wheels that could be widened and inched up for slicks.... Man, now I got something to daydream about until I get more S2000 parts to redirect my thoughs...!

I was thinking more along the lines of a street car with my comment. I sort of like most of the JGTC cars, but the way they section and lower the body work distorts the design of the original car, worst being the Modena 360.

Hate to keep bringin this thread up, but are the JGTC Celicas FWD or modified for RWD? Just something I thought about during class today.
