A little car help please!

Hello. My name is john and im an alcaholic.

now that i got your atention, i need some help on finding a car. right now i drive a 94 sunbird LE with the 2.0 and a 5 speed. its a sad car. and i just found out they are finally putting a strip in here, to reduce on the street racing. now i am only in grade 12 in highschool so i am not exacally the ricest person alive. but i want/need a sports car. my budget is somethign like $4000 canadian. i was looking at a camaro, but most of them are auto. and to find a 305 tpi with a stick is tough. so i need some help. what do you guy suggest for a car? here is my wish list.

- Must be capable of a 14 second 1/4 mile with some mods.

- Must be capable of being a daily driver.

- must be a standard

- Cant get under 20 mpg on the highway. 85% of my driving is highway.

- Better not be a common lemon of a car.

so thats basically it. please all suggestions are welcome. i am a car guy, and am into imports, domestics, euros, pretty much anything, but id perfer a domestic becasue of the lower cost of parts.

Daily driver in Canada for 4K that has to be sports car & get 20+mpg on the highway. If the 4K includes what you can invest into mods then I can't think of something that would fit the bill. The fact you'll be cruising in snow during the winter puts a damper on getting a mustang 5.0 (which would be close to your quest).

Perhaps a used prelude might just squeeze into your requirements.
