Skyline GT-R engine conversion - possible or not?
Hey,
I'm just wondering about the S15 Silvia. I think there may be problems with tuning it to the moment, when without N2O it's power can reach 400HP+. So I think that the best solution for all this would be installing into the car a new engine, for instance the R34 Skyline's one. In normal conditions it has 280HP (with double Turbos), and tuning it to 500HP would be much easier. Does anybody from here know anything about the Skyline engine conversions in Silvia? I'm just curious wether the engine would match the Silvia's body or not. Best regards, BlitzZ!

N20 power? Nitrous power? Are you nuts ?
You can tune it to get above 400hp its not that hard it requires money tho but so does getting 500hp out of an RB which is pretty much daft when the S15's SR is the most powerful SR that nissan released.

I have done the rb26dett into my s13 and know everything that is involved. First if you arent ready to make major steering rack modification I would just stay with the rb25det which with a bigger turbo setup is also quite potent. But if you have the cash and trust your mecahnic I would highly recomend the RB26DETT. Just a little persuasion, my s13 is bone stock and so is my rb26dett and I ran 12.3 @118 mph in the 1/4 mile. If you have further questions or are interested in one of these swaps mail me at [email protected]

Hey there fellas, I don't want to do anything like that in my car. First of all I don't have a Nissan, but a Lexus, and I was asking this question because I was just curious... Despite this I would like to thank you for this information, maybe I'll use it in future... :-)
Best regards, BlitzZ!

Re: Skyline GT-R engine conversion - possible or not?
Just to let you know. That the 280HP(206kw) in the r34 is understated, as some fellas over here have dynoed a standard r34 gtr & found 215 rear wheel Kw, which should equate to around 290 flywheel kw.
