Question Mercedes Benz CLK GTR Sportswear ?

I recently picked up on of these kits along with a Cliff Opel. The decals are beyond belief!

For my real question: How rare are these things? I've seen very few of them. Any other thoughts on the kit kit are welcome!

This was a limited run, like the GTR Original Teile. So consider yourself very lucky to have it! Only the D2/Warsteiner is still available.

I have 'em all , but haven't started them yet. It's good Tamiya quality and offer a good base for extensive detailing.

A friend of mine finished this "Sportswear"version a while ago.

as well as the "Original Teile"

That's good to know...I got a pretty good deal on it IMO...about the price of some AMT kits! I've looked over the parts and it seems to be a very well detailed kit.

Thanks for the pics you posted...the "Original Teile" version looks awesome!

Humm I'm not sure.. Sportswear version didn't have a limited production.. it still in the "active" list of a lot of store. but it's out of production (like praticly all the old tamiya kit)

The Original Teile one is a limited. it's fairly easy to know. Tamiya white box aren't limited while other with real picture on it (like the CLK GTR Original Teile or the ford focus RS blue) are limited.

I was lucky to get the limited teile few month ago.. I have made 2 CLK GTR. you can see them on my Web Gallery http://models.magietec.com

Thumbs up

You are very lucky to get this kit. Is OOP.

Firstly, most people think that the clear box of 'Sportwear' is limited, but all were wrong. What you get is the limited edition kit and the clear version are not.
Good buy...
But I think the 'Girl' decal is too green.
