Appropriate steering box for Dodge Ram 2500

I am looking at a new steering box for my Dodge Ram 2500. I have found 2 steering boxes. One that is a 12 to 1 ratio (very quick, maybe too quick) and an adjustible box from 16 to 1 to 13 to 1.

Does anyone have knowledge of these particular raitios? I would really like to improve the steering response in my truck. However, I do not want to over do it. I understand the 12 to 1 is more for competition.

Would the power steering pump need to be changed as well?

I would greatly appreciate information from anyone with knowledge on this subject.
