06 Silverado Tranfer case
I have replaced my trans and now I have a problem with it going into fall safe mode. I was told it was to do with a sensor on the transfer case. Could this be my problem? I can turn the truck off and turn it back on and it will shift out, but when I stop and start to take off it goes back into the fall safe mode, staying in high gear.

Re: 06 Silverado Tranfer case
Thanks for the reply. I crank up shift into drive and it pulls off and shifts thru the gears when you stop and pull off it seems to be in high and will not shift. I then turn the truck off and start it back up and it then shifts thru the gears until I stop.
I have not had it put on a computer so I dont have any codes. Have been told it has to do with electronics at the transfer case. |

anyway when these get eaten by the acidic fluid they can stick. sometimes you will loose 3rd or 4th gear when worn bad enough .. |
