'92 Silo rough idle, stalls in park and neutral
My 92 Silo has around 200k miles, 3.8 L engine. The check engine light is on. Basically, it idles rough when cold, will nearly stall out when trying to accelerate too quickly and when climbing hills. If I let up on the gas the vehicle recovers and continues to run. Once warmed up, it will always stall when put into Park and Neutral.
A mechanic told me that the mass air flow sensor was bad. He said that just unplugging it might help a bit so I did that. It did help a little....but not much. I ended up replacing the MAS but that didn't fix the problem. I'm on a very limited budget so I'm hoping to find the cure to this problem quickly and avoid replacing good parts. Any thoughts or suggestions would be really appreciated! thanks much Brad |

Last COMPLETE tuneup(plugs, wires, PCV, air and fuel filter)?
Check coil output? Check for codes? Losing coolant? |
