Installing an Edelbrock 1406 on a 85 350/th350 with cruise control

Need assistance with what I will need for additional adapter kits to install an Edelbrock 1406 carb on a 85 Mr Goodwrench remanufactured engine with a rebuilt th350 transmission and cruise control. Keep getting conflicting advice as to what I need. Presently have a Q jet Rochester on this engine from my old 305 and it is now not downshifting the transmission or allowing cruise control to work.
Any good advice will be greatly appreciated.

The trans downshift should be controlled by the TV cable, the cruise of course is also hooked to the original linkage, is all this in place? The 1406 needs an adapter to replace the Q jet.

Thanks for your reply, with that I did a bit of a search and found my tv wasn't adjusted. So I was able I think, to take care of that.
I think the vacuum lines for the cruise servo and accumulator are fine on the flat side of the 3 port check, but the other end only goes to a round device with wires attached that appear to be part of the cruise servo. I don't see any vacuum connected from the carb or intake and am not sure whether I should just install a t-fitting on the pointed end of the 3 port check or not.

A note to add, my Haynes Manual has nothing on the cruise vacuum lines, or cruise control anything for that matter.
A four hour google search has brought up one photo diagram of another vehicle which shows my 3 port check but not the electrical device connected to it.
By the way, this is on a 1985 G-20 van, so this accumulator and 3-port check is mounted on the hood in plain sight and the cruise servo is behind the carb.

I guess I am getting a little off topic from my original post. I am installing an Edelbrock 1406 carb, and I believe there are added pieces I need to purchase with the carb, such as cruise control kit #1484, #8018 cable adapter, # 8012 auto trans ext. kit, didn't know if someone could verify if I need these.
The parts stores that sell these carbs don't find a listing that says anything about my needing these or any other kits.
