Re: Tutorial, how to make AN/DF-fittings and braided hoses
Great tutorial!
I have a doubt, who makes the hex plastic pieces? I looked Evergreen but apparently they dont have it. |

Re: Tutorial, how to make AN/DF-fittings and braided hoses
Okay, I know it's an old thread but a question must be answered!
The only hex-section styrene rod I've found is from Plastruct (as suggested in an earlier post)... 90872 0.8mm 90873 1.0mm 90874 1.5mm 90875 2.0mm 90876 2.5mm 90877 3.2mm I bought a packet of each size from Hiroboy here in the UK back when I started the 908, but although they're still listed on the site, they're all out of stock. Must be someone else out there selling it...try searching these numbers and see what comes up. SB |

Re: Tutorial, how to make AN/DF-fittings and braided hoses
For the hex rod, you can order it from Plastruct's website. They have sizes from .020 thru .125, and hopefully they have it in stock.
1. Go to http://www.plastruct.com 2. Click "Search/View/Order" 3. In 'Catalog Description' field, type "hex" and click the Search button. |

Hi Werdy There are different sizes on all cars, depending on the system. I guess the best is to do what SB did, get all sizes and be ready for anything! (: {}Fatbear |

Re: Tutorial, how to make AN/DF-fittings and braided hoses
Try detail master for hose or look into speaker wire...the kind used right on the speakers, not for actually wiring them up. I have a list of sizes to equal 1:1 but it'd be a pain to type it all out via my phone...

Re: Tutorial, how to make AN/DF-fittings and braided hoses
I guess I'll have to look again at co-ax. The only co-ax I've ever used, was all plastic w/ a single wire core in it. That stuff looks perfect, and I can imagine it would be a ton cheaper than getting the after market stuff.

Re: Tutorial, how to make AN/DF-fittings and braided hoses
Just a standard piece of TV co-ax that was left over from the cable guy installing our cable TV lines. It didnt have the braided jacket.
