I see where you already replaced the fuel filter. Might check the ground wire to the pump to make sure it is good and grounded. They tend to get a little rusty and dirty under there. One of the black wires must be a ground. Does the gas gauge work okay? It is likely using the same ground.

the fuel gauge was working correctly. i am sure the pump is bad, as i have already tested multiple points.

i had a very similar expeirence (except the ac) in my 94. it turned out it was the computer going haywire and telling the car it was too hot. After sitting several hours to a day. The car would run for a good 15-20 minutes after i hit the gas harder it died. The mechanic got me a junkyard comp for 100 dollars. It runs like a champ.
