I agree with grimmy. But I always thought cops were each others buddies and watched out for one another.

Dammit IM 20 YEARS OLD this is MY CAR and I am not SPEEDING SO go away and pull some drunks or something !!!! Know why I get pulled ??? Look in my sig !!!

That's normal here. My boss is an ex cop, he says if he found any of his officers speeding they would be in deep shit. If they broke the law they got in trouble, simple as that.

And Justin, they pull you over because they simply want a closer look at that beast!

Clarifying the point...

I find it deeply ironic that at this particular point in time, when New Zealand traffic cops are under scrutiny in the media as never before for the manner in which they interpret their duty with regard to speed laws, that a cop would even consider breaking the speed limit so blatantly.

We're currently embroiled in a media-created drama as to what 'policing' the speed limits entails.should it be a question of being out there as a highly visible deterrent,or is enforcement by financial disincentives after the fact the fair way to do it?

Down here in Alabama there are no emissions laws. More so, no inspection stickers in this state (although there are in other Southern states). So if it has four wheels and runs, it's a pretty safe bet it can drive on AL roads. 'Course, there are downsides to that too...

Cops don't just break traffic laws around here - they shatter them. One of my "favorites" around here is when they come up to a stop sign, flip on their lights to cruise through without stopping and then shut off the lights once on the other side.

I have somewhere between zero and no respect for highway patrol officers.

It is about time. Now it would be nice to see those police that feel it necessary to do 20ks under the limit just to hold up traffic done!

I was thinking about this a while ago: I'd carry a video camera and tape every traffic violation a police officer does and make a video Almost every time I see a cop I can point out one violation they made within 2 minutes. My father runs a traffic school and I go to the office quite a few times a week so you can imagine I've learned some of the little rules here-n-there.

I've seen cops burn-out while pulling out of parking lots, just when they think the place is empty, there I am, staring at them realizing thier violation . I'm the authority figure for the authority figures J/k

Naki- When driving down a road and you see an unmarked Commodore/Vectra/whatever else the police use in your neck- do the following.

1.Match it's speed
2.Shake head in disgust

The unmarked patrol car drivers are always the worst
