ES 300 Severe Transmission Problems

I drive a '99 Lexus Es 300, the V6 model. Recently, the transmission was running kind of rough so I looked up a guide and drained/replaced the transmission fluid. It ran fine after taking it out but very shortly started shifting wrong. It degraded to the point that all it does is rev. I believe I put too much fluid it, but I drained it to appropriate levels and it didn't help.
