2000 Suburban Transmission swap

I have a 2000 Suburban 5.3 2wd auto that doesn't like to shift anymore.... Started out with delayed 1-2 shifts, but now does that plus hard to get into third (get on gas and let off a few times). I have found a good deal on a transmission out of a 2000 silverado- any differences? I don't have much time to have this vehicle down and don't want to get the tranny out and see I have to swap a bunch more parts over. I'm assuming since they are both 2000, it should be a straight swap? I just hate to assume....

during this time 2000 it could be the same or not. one way to tell is the connectors. if these do connect to tranny then it should work. slipping tranny would be a worn and cracked shell. dexron III eats at the metal and causes the damage to the metal and valve body wear then loss of pressure then clutches slip etc.. all the fluid lines must be flushed ..............
