need help with engine install

Is there anything extra i need to do to fit a 1993 4.3L Vortec engine into a 1995 GMC Jimmy? What is the difference between the two engines, and will i have complications?

There will be minimal, if any, difference between the engines. I believe 1992 was the first year for the 4.3 having a balance shaft. You should be able to simply swap the long block.

Do you know if the reluctor ring for the crankshaft position sensor on the 95 is the same as the 96. Cant find a 95 anywhere but found a 96.

96 will be a obd II setup. 95 will be a obd 1 1/2. looks like there are some difference in the block so it may not swap over like you want. looks like there are used engines for sale in your state for 95 that will drop right in assuming its the s10/s15 style. you can see whats out there on car-part.com and select your state and what engine yours is
