,89 s-10 fuel pump?
My '89 S-10 2.5L is slow to start if it has sat for more than an hour and now that it is really cold outside(close to zero) the fuel pump will run for 5 to ten seconds after the engine has been stut off. Is this a check valve problem? A leaky injector? I have checked the spray of the injector using a timing light and the spray pattern is still cone shaped but it is not a nice 'misty' look like I would expect, so the injector might be leaking down. Is my starting problem related to the pump or the injector?

What oil are you using? Does engine crank over normal cold? When was last good tune up? How is plugs and filters? Any codes or check engine lights? What is fuel pressure cold cranking?

Re: ,89 s-10 fuel pump?
new cap, rotor, wires, plugs and air filter in the last 2000miles. I am not sure how to check the fuel pressure on this truck. I do have the guage to do it though. any Ideas on how to hook a guage into the fuel line?

Hook into the line at fuel filter.
