im in big trouble with this one

alright so heres the deal i have an 89 formula with a 350 and when i got it itd run and slowly deteriorated over the last 6 months for awhile itd start and idol with some probs and then i had to use starter fluid now itll start on starter fluid but thats it no idol no run and when it would run itd back fire and throttle would hesitate no one knows what its doing its getting spark and fuel pressure is good in the rails but ive replaced the spark plugs spark wires distributor cap and rotor igniton coil fuel pump and fuel pressure regualtor fuel filter starter battery and fluids and i have timed and retimed it several times to make sure its right and i know the throttle position sensor is bad the car idols better with it unplugged

so please help

The TPS could be out of specified voltage and be the main problem.

i was also wondering about 3 of the injectors being bad due to some resent testing

A bad/misadjusted TPS will casue a number of problems, fix what you know is wrong.

Some years are, and some years aren't, from the factory anyway. However the majority in the aftermarket are.

You loosen the 2 screws that affix the TPS to the throttle body, backprobe the ECM reference wire and ground, with the key in "run" (ENGINE OFF), the sweet spot is usually .52V at closed throttle.

really ill try it thx for the help and i think im going to buy one if i do replace it will it affect the idol air control valve??

Yes. The thrttle position determines where the IAC shoud be. Might also be a good time to clean and theck the calibration of the the IAC as well.

Just keep it simple, and clean up the throttle body. I would disonnect the battery for a bout a half hour if you replace the IAC and force a "re-learn" on the PCM
