Anyone ever have issues with a fuel guage that stays on empty ,however if you put the gear shift into nuetral from drive gauge will it return to proper level .

this is a normal condition with these vehicles built from 1999-????. my 2000 has the original fuelpump/sender assy. this is caused by fuel reacting with the pickup resistor in the fuel tank which is part of the fuel pump. some have found the new replacements delphi pumps this issue has ended...using techron fuel injector cleaner and some marvel mystery oil helps clean the fuel system and this makes this sender work better but does not fix it...
