96 grand am see 2.4 stalls from idle after restarting when warm

when warm and trying to restart, car may start and idle but as soon as gas is pressed at all it tries to die, releasing gas will return it to idle, but car will die anyways after couple minutes, tried cleaning egr valve, d/c egr valve. after 20 min to half hour or so, car will start perfectly, and run good

How long since a tune-up? Use a gage and check fuel pressure. Some of the national brand autostores used to loan out a fuel pressure gage, if you don't have one. Can you check for applicable trouble codes? At the least, you need an obd2 code reader. Take the throttle-body off and clean it, check the iac and tps.

I have a similar problem on a different thread. Can you tell me how to check the IAC? I have a 2000 Grand Am with a 2.4 DOHC. Thanks.
