Shackles

I know this topic has been beaten down like a horse, and I have looked through all the old posts after searching for "shackle" and I cannot find out the brand of shackle you guys are using. Also, if buck$ allow, should I go for lubable or non-lubable?

peace out

www.spencerlowracing.com has a couple of different length shackles you can purchase. Calmini has one as well, but I prefer the build of the SLR ones better. You can get urethane bushings for them if you want.

BTW, don't get shackles unless you have upgraded your stock leaf pack already with AAL's or new aftermarket leafs. Fixing the leafs first will give you a more satisfactory result.

Cool, thanks. I will have to check them out! One more thing though.. back in my younger days we used to flip the axle of our S10's to where it was positioned underneath our leaf's...anyone do this with an Xterra yet? What were the results?

Hasn't been done to my knowledge. That would add something in the neighborhood of 6+ inches to the rear height, and there is currently no way to get that much lift out of the front end to match.
