charging problems
have a '97 chrysler concorde with a 3.5
the charging system only puts around 11.81 V touching the + side of the batt and the - side of the batt with a volt meter with the car running when the car was off it read 12.11 V touching my meter leads in the same place if i touched my meter leads to the back of the alt. and to the - side of the batt it varies between 32.29 - 33.34 V if i touch the back of the alt. to the + side of the batt my meter varies between 20.91 - 22.06 V car has a 2 day old batt, 2-3 day old computer, about a month old alt. and just had it checked 2 days ago and it checked out good by autozone, brand new neg batt wire to the bellhousing, the car will only run around 30-40 min. and it will die while drivin up the road checked the wires off the back of the alt the are only 3 we traced them to the next connection and they checked out good with 0.0 voltage drop |

Re: charging problems
That's quite the voltage drop and pretty convenient that its almost exactly 12volts less the the voltage test from the back of the alt to the - side of the battery. I would be suspicious of the cable between the alt and the battery.
