Taking Out/Putting in Door Spring 89 S10

I took my door off to replace it and I had to paint it and what not, but I took the Spring out no prob... but now getting it back in is the prob.. Anyone that has any ideas on how to get it back in???

Go to napa and buy a spring compressing tool. They're not expensive and work well on the front doors although they won't work on the rear, but they never wear out anyway.

Yeah.. right after I posted this, A friend of mine showed me a trick with some thin wire and a Table Clamp.... lol That worked well.. all you need is some snips
