Engine Swap
I have a 91' honda civic dx (non-vtec) 1.5l. I want to swap it with a 95' honda civic 1.6l vtec engine. I have the vtec computer for the new engine and also a conversion kit as well.

Re: Engine Swap
And when you're done w/ that, don't come back and say "The search didn't work"... search some more.

Re: Engine Swap
Whats the question again? I missed it in the first post. Sounded more like a statement to me than a question.

Re: Engine Swap
Tony, I see your point... there was no question.. that makes this a... Hopes and Dreams thread?
If that's the case, I have nothing to say here. If that ISN'T the case.. I still suggest the OP Ask Jeeves, he knows all.

Re: Engine Swap
Ok, so the question is: What wiring do I need to do to install a D16Z6 in my car with a conversion harness?
Now my question is: What kind of conversion harness did you get that didn't come with instructions? I ordered a Boomslang OBD0-OBD1 MPFI conversion harness for one of my hatches. It came with instructions, which are also easy to find online, and tells you exactly what all needs to be done. Ofcourse, the way I am, I modified it a little more than they did and I don't have to run as many wires back to the ECU harness as their instructions call for.

OP - The instructions for most harnesses from reputable companies are available on their websites. You may also be able to find a copy of then by using Google.

Re: D16Z6 swap dpfi to mpfi conversion
Since you have a conversion harness you really only need to do link 2 and 3, which are the same thing, the mpfi swap. You will need to redo your distributor wiring as well. The first link just has tips on getting the engine into the car, like which mounts to use etc.

Re: D16Z6 swap dpfi to mpfi conversion
Ok, I was taking up for you before, but now you go and create another thread asking the same question you finally asked in your other thread?
EDIT: Ok, look, it merged right into the old thread flawlessly. Don't create new threads asking the same question. If you want help, you will have to help us help you when we ask a simple question. You still didn't answer my question: What harness did you get and why do you not have instructions with it? If you want a DPFI to MPFI How-to, I just recently did a How-to on it, with pictures, showing a few different ways to go about doing the swap. Check the FAQ...which I also just recently went through and made it easier for noobs to look through.
