Power Windows

I have a 89 camaro and when i try to put the passenger side window down it goes down about 4 in then makes a grinding sound. Would this be a window moter problem or a regulator problem? I just dont want to replace the motor and that not be it.

Re: Power Windows

More than likely a regulator. If you look on E bay for a used motor they usually come with the regulator and all. Or go to the junkyard and pull one. The morot and regulator rarely go bad in these cars, I still have the originals in my 85.

Re: Power Windows

Pull off your door panel and look to see what it is. Its pretty easy to take it off, in fact mines off right now!
