lost head light to a deer. Now i can not stop lights from lashing.

My daught was hit by a deer in 2004 calavier. She lost 1 head light. She needs to drive to work but her lights will not stop flashing. She does not have maunal. Is there a way to stop day running lights from flashing?

You have a short in the wiring.

You may have to remove a plastic cover to get to the wires running to the headlamps, but if you can get behind there; try wiggling the wires that run to the headlamps - and see if they stop flashing. You would do this with the ignition on so the daytime running lights would be 'lit'. Thats also what a mechanic would need to do to find the short. It would be on the side that the deer hit.

IF these cars still use circuit breakers on the headlight system... the short could be tripping the circuit breaker as well, or could have fried it so it will not operate properly.
